The best way to identify comfortable and ergonomically sound recliner chairs is to follow some simple checkpoints:

•The chair needs to be Comfortable. This means that the firmness of the cushion needs to be suitable for your weight. The firmness of the back should be softer than the firmness of the seat, and the firmness of the seat construction must match the firmness of the back construction (the ratio needs to be proper).

•You should be able to lean back and relax the upper half of your body with a suitable back pitch and seat pitch angle. The chair should be supportive for upright seating, TV, reading and sleeping positions.

•The chair should give you support for a proper body posture including sufficient cushioning to the knees, back, neck, head and especially around your lumbar region. •In the recliner you should be able to move freely, change positions, and the height of the armrest should allow you to rest your arms without slouching your shoulders. That way your shoulders relax and there is no undue strain on your lower back. •Be sure to seek out correct sizing (seat height, seat depth, width and back height)
